David Moyes is the new West Ham boss

Leon Osman insists David Moyes can still cut it in the Premier League and has backed his former Everton boss to be big hit as West Ham manager.
Moyes’ appointment was confirmed by the Hammers on Tuesday morning, with the Scot succeeding sacked boss Slaven Bilic and signing a contract until the end of the season.
But the club’s choice has not gone down well with fans.
The Hammers are struggling at the bottom of the Premier League after just two wins from their opening 11 games and, having failed to keep Sunderland in the top flight in his previous role, few believe Moyes is the right man for the job.
Osman, however, insists the Scot is no stranger to attractive football, saying he developed Everton into one of the Premier League’s most attractive sides during his 11-year tenure at Goodison Park.
And he believes Moyes can do the same at West Ham.
“The reaction has been quite severe and I can understand that fans want to best person to take their club forward, but I feel in David Moyes they’ve got a fantastic coach and a fantastic manager,” the former Toffees midfielder told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.
“When he first came into Everton he found a way of winning. That may have been long balls forward to big Dunc or Kevin Campbell, but it got results.
“Throughout his time at Everton we developed quite a good team going forward.
“You look at the players he brought in – Mikel Arteta, Tim Cahill, Steven Pienaar – we had a footballing team and come the end of his time at Everton we played some of the best football in the Premier League at that time.
“So he’s certainly capable of putting a team together than plays good football.”
