The comedian’s upcoming tour – his first since 2010 – sold out within minutes of going on sale at 10am today.
Many lucky enough to nab tickets immediately tried to cash in by selling them on sites such as StubHub! and Ticketmaster.
Some greedy fans who got pre-sale seats even tried to flog them before they went on general sale.
Stall seats costing £55 each were being offered for £417 each on Saturday night.
“Presale for Peter Kay is sold out and they are already on StubHub! at twice the price”
Angry fan tweet
After they went on general sale the prices rose to a staggering £1,000 a seat.
Others were between £500 and £750. Angry fans blasted sites for allowing touts to boost their coffers.
One tweeted: “@TicketmasterUK I think you need to do something with your policies regarding resale.
“Presale for Peter Kay is sold out and they are already on StubHub! at twice the price. This is clearly touts buying to resell, no wonder folk can’t get tickets for anything!!”
Another said: “Absolutely disgusting that real fans cant get tickets, some on touts site for £400.”
Demand got so great that Ticketmaster’s site crashed.
Peter, 44, will hit the road next April, before wrapping up in March 2019. He announced another 14 dates today.
