The club have asked that his privacy is respected
Hearts manager Craig Levein was rushed to hospital on Monday morning after falling ill.
The Scottish Premiership club confirmed in a brief statement the 53-year-old received medical treatment and is now recovering well.
The statement read: “Heart of Midlothian Football Club can confirm that manager Craig Levein was taken to hospital this morning.
“Having received medical treatment, Craig is now recovering well in hospital.
“No further comment will be made at this time and the club asks that Craig and his family’s privacy be respected, as we all wish him a speedy recovery.
Levein has led Hearts to three wins from three in the Premiership this season and they currently top the table.
He is in his second spell as manager at Tynecastle, having been re-appointed in August 2017 after three years as director of football.
