The film legend, who Daily Star Online cannot name for legal reasons, is said to have committed an assault.
In a post published and circuited widely on social media, the actor’s name is referenced alongside Harvey Weinstein.
The A-lister is also starting to trend on Google.
The woman who is alleging the claims says it is “time dominoes fell”.
An unnamed insider told The Sun: “Rumours about this actor have circulated for years.
“Lots of people are making allegations after what’s happened with Weinstein.”
The source explained no alleged victim has gone on the record publicly yet.
As of time of publication, London Metropolitan police are investigating multiple claims by women that Mr Weinstein committed sexual assault in the capital.
One incident is claimed to have taken place in West London in 1992.
A spokesman for the Met said: “It is alleged that the man sexually assaulted a woman in Westminster in 2010 and 2011, and in Camden in 2015.”
Separately, British actress Lysette Anthony alleged to Sunday Times that the media mogul raped her in her London home during the 1980s.
Over the weekend, a video surfaced online of Courtney Love warning girls off Harvey Weinstein during a 2005 red carpet chat.
When asked what her one piece of advice for young women in Hollywood is, the singer replied: “If Harvey Weinstein invites you to party at the Four Seasons, don’t go.”
