The Love Island couple are seriously hot property right now, as they ride the waves of their new-found fame, since the show wrapped in July.
Dani, 22, and Jack, 26, took home the crown on this year’s series, so are undoubtedly a very profitable pair for companies looking to do sponsored posts.
And the fact Dani is the daughter of Eastenders hard-man Danny Dyer, 41 – only adds to the duo’s profitability.
The pair’s appeal is also undoubtedly helped by the fact they are both relatable to their young fans – Jack famously said all he wanted to do was “go for a Nando’s” when he left the villa.
But it was another eatery the Love Island power couple were throwing their support behind yesterday on social media – but all did not go to plan.
Posting to her 3.3 million followers on Instagram, Dani shared a video of herself and Jack using the new McDonald’s app to order food, with Jack asking Dani, “What are you getting? I’m getting a Big Mac.”
Dani also shared a snap of her and her fan tucking into the fast food in Jack’s car, with “#Ad” written in the caption.
While some fans were delighted to see their favourite Love Island couple enjoying an impromptu date night, others were angry they’d chosen to promote a fast food outlet.
One Instagram user fumed: “I think it’s really sad that people are willing to promote bad products for money. Nothing about McDonalds is healthy. NOTHING!
“Money shouldn’t be worth that much to you. Collectively our moral compasses are pointing at money instead of helping people.
“Nothing about this post helps people. Encouraging food like McDonald’s is nasty AF.”
A second continued: “They would promote s*** for a price.”
A third added: “Love you two guys but geez a break with the product placement and ads.”
