Young, who is married to AEW world champion Jon Moxley, tweeted: “Man. What a few days. My show [WWE Backstage] gets cancelled and I get Covid.

“Wear your masks and wash your hands. Stay safe, everyone.”

Subsequently, Moxley was asked to stay away from this week’s AEW Dynamite taping.

AEW president Tony Khan said: “Recently @JonMoxley had contact with someone who had contact with someone who has COVID-19.

“Mox did the right thing & warned us. Doc asked him to stay home & get tested to protect us here at our test site.”

Meanwhile, Pro Wrestling Sheet claim ‘multiple people in WWE, including in-ring talent’ have tested positive for coronavirus.

Despite the positive tests, Raw and SmackDown tapings are still set to take place at the Performance Centre in Orlando as usual.

A brief WWE statement read: “WWE will continue COVID-19 testing of its talent, production crew and employees in advance of TV productions for the foreseeable future.”

Earlier this month, an unnamed developmental talent contracted coronavirus.

WWE associate medical director Jeffrey Dugas confirmed the news, saying: “A developmental talent, who was last on site at WWE’s training facility on Tuesday, June 9, has tested positive for COVID-19.

“Since that time, no other individuals that attended the facility have reported symptoms.”
