However, no sooner was she on air did viewers race to Twitter to comment on her weight as well as an impossible-to-miss Scarlett Moffatt wardrobe malfunction.
After seeing the vicious tweets, the former Gogglebox star took to the official Scarlett Moffatt Twitter account to reveal she’s terrified about going back on camera incase she’s slated once more.
Speaking frankly, Scarlett, who was caught out earlier this year for faking her fitness DVD, said: “I’m honestly ashamed of some people on here.
“Hard to pretend I’m ok and be a good role model to others about how it’s ok to just [be] you when the comments from grown adults on here have resulted in me crying my eyes out! I hope you’re very proud of yourselves.
“No wonder the amount of people including myself with social anxiety is increasing.”
She added: “Feel like I can’t even film TV shows without hating the way that I look after, from constantly being attacked because of my size and my appearance. [sic]”
“The comments from grown adults on here have resulted in me crying my eyes out”
Not stopping there, the TV BAFTA winner continued: “Feel like I need to speak out for others!!
“This is not fair this needs to stop!
“Please to the people out there who aren’t loving themselves right now please don’t let other people stop you from doing what you love. Real beauty shines from within.”
Fellow celebs leapt to her defense, with former Love Island star Olivia Buckland tweeting: “Babe I can feel this so much. Happened to me yesterday I broke down.
“From one strong lady to another; we’re better than that. Can’t even give any advice cus I know whatever is said doesn’t change the way it’s upset you. All I know is that you are better than words.”
While host Caroline Flack said: “You were BRILLIANT tonight. And lovely to chat after.”
After a flurry of supportive messages from fans, Scarlett added: “I wanted and felt like I had to write that tweet to let you know at the end of the day I’m a 27 year old girl with feelings and a family who get upset also when they see vile comments about my appearance.
“Something needs to change with our society.”
In March this year, it was revealed that Scarlett felt so pressured to loose the pounds for her fitness DVD, SuperSlim Me Plan, that she jetted off to Switzerland to attend a gruelling bootcamp.
A spokeswoman for Scarlett confirmed she “did go to a boot camp and it was a horrid experience”.
They added that: “She had to weigh herself every day and was put on a very low-calorie diet, but she categorically did not take any [weight loss] pills.”
However, despite the statement claiming how horrific it was, Scarlett continues to flaunt her figure from that period to her army of 1.8million followers.
On June 28, she posted a snap of herself in a red dress, though turned the comments off so followers could not leave feedback.
Then on July 1, she shared an image of herself in clingy gym gear with the caption: “Motivation where are you, I need you back for the great north run.”
Sher also turned the comments off on this post.
