DE PERE, Wisc. -- In every way imaginable, the Green Bay Packers went backward in 2017. Green Bay failed to reach the postseason for the first time since 2008. The Packers' 7-9 record was the second worst of Mike McCarthy's 12 seasons as head coach. And after reaching the NFC Championship Game in both 2014 and 2016, the Packers were eliminated from the playoffs by mid-December. Green Bay could be poised for a bounce-back season, though. Aaron Rodgers: Green Bay Packers QB announces he is cleared to play

Dec. 13 (UPI) -- All-Pro gunslinger Aaron Rodgers posted a photo Tuesday, announcing he has been medically cleared.The photo featured Rodgers wearing a hairnet and a sheet, while giving the thumbs up sign from a hospital bed."It's been a long road from that day to this, but I'm happy to say I've been medically cleared to return," Rodgers said in the post. "Thanks for all the love, support, prayers, and well wishes over the past 8 weeks and a big thank you to Dr McKenzie and our incredible training staff. #riseagain."Rodgers, 34, was injured during a Week 6 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
