The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) on Wednesday said it has added features in RuPay cards that will allow offline transactions even in areas with limited internet connectivity, besides offering a reloadable wallet facility to boost seamless retail transactions. RuPay cardholders can make contactless offline payments at POS (point of sale) in areas with limited network and an additional feature of reloadable wallets in the form of RuPay contactless (offline) will facilitate seamless day-to-day retail transactions, the NPCI said. These additional features will augment the overall transaction experience for RuPay cardholders and revolutionise the overall card payment ecosystem, it said. ORLANDO, Fla., July 7 (UPI) -- NASA added software experts to work with Boeing and SpaceX on their space capsule programs following the failure of Boeing's Starliner test flight in December, the agency announced via a teleconference from Florida on Wednesday. The software oversight changes were outlined in NASA's release of its final review of the Starliner failure. EPFO adds 1.39 crore subscribers in last two fiscals

NEW DELHI: Retirement fund body added 1.39 crore new subscribers in last two financial years, the Ministry of Labour & Employment said on Monday. "Recently published provisional payroll data by the EPFO highlights the ever growing trend of increasing subscriber base for EPFO, since the collation of payroll data from September 2017," the ministry said in a statement. The payroll data presents the consolidated annual figures for 2018-19 and 2019-20. Net addition to subscriber base rose from 61.12 lakh added in 2018-19 to 78.58 lakh in 2019-20, registering a 28 per cent growth, it added. The data published comprises of all the new members who have joined during the month and whose contribution is received.
