
Tactical awarded contract for airbone threat training systems
May 18 (UPI) -- Tactical Air Support Inc. has been awarded a contract for airborne threat simulation trainers. The contract, from Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, was announced Thursday by the Defense Department in a deal worth more than $ 106.7 million under the terms of a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract. The contract enables the company to provide airborne training simulations, according to the Defense Department. The airborne training simulations will provide both aircraft squadron aircrew and shipboard operators with simulated training in order to surmount a counter response, including the recognition of airborne threats, tactics, electronic warfare and electronic attack operations.
