June 19 (UPI) -- The Air Force named Chief MSgt. JoAnne Bass its first female Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force on Friday, its highest-ranked noncommissioned officer. In her new position, Bass will be the public face of enlisted airmen, and the personal advisor to incoming Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Charles Brown and Air Force Secretary Barbara Barrett. Advertisement Bass will focus on issues related to the welfare, readiness and morale of enlisted personnel. Brown, additionally, will be the military's first African-American service chief when he is sworn in, in August. June 12 (UPI) --Battle of the Network Stars stars is returning with Mischa Barton, Lance Bass and dozens of other celebrities.Barton, Bass, Taye Diggs, Lou Ferrigno, Nick and Vanessa Lachey and 94 other actors and television personalities will compete in an ABC revival of the reality competition, the network said in a press release Monday.Retired NFL star DeMarcus Ware and MMA fighter Ronda Rousey will serve as team captains, with ESPN commentators Mike Greenberg and Joe Tessitore as hosts.
