July 31 (UPI) -- Nearly half of the children and staff at an overnight camp held in Georgia in June tested positive for COVID-19, according to data released Friday by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Of 344 campers and staff members for whom test results were available, 260 -- or 44% -- tested positive for the virus, according to the CDC. Advertisement Sixty-nine percent of the positive tests involved children aged 11 to 17, and 20% were reported in children aged 6 to 10, the agency said. However, testing results were available for only 344 of the 597 campers and staff members who attended, so it is possible more were infected with the virus, CDC researchers said. June 2 (UPI) -- In a memo from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, the league informed teams Tuesday that they must conduct training camps at their main practice facilities due to the coronavirus pandemic. In addition, teams won't be allowed to hold joint training camp practices with other teams this summer. The NFL and the NFL Players Association opted to keep teams close to home to limit travel and the risks associated with running two facilities. July 30 (UPI) -- Kansas City Chiefs star wide receiver Tyreek Hill had an early exit from the team's training camp practice Tuesday after suffering a quad injury. League sources told ESPN and Yahoo Sports that Hill was carted off the field after being examined in the medical tent. The wideout sustained a bruised quad and is expected to be fine, according to ESPN. Chiefs cornerback Bashaud Breeland hit Hill while attempting to break up a pass, according to ESPN. The receiver remained on the ground before limping to the medical tent. May 3 (UPI) -- The Indianapolis Colts invited former Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly to rookie minicamp. Indianapolis is having rookie camp from Friday through Sunday. Kelly was at the camp Friday on a tryout basis. Kelly -- the nephew of Hall of Famer Jim Kelly -- was a seventh-round pick by the Denver Broncos in the 2017 NFL Draft. He didn't take a snap during his rookie campaign, but had a successful 2018 preseason. Kelly completed 66.7 percent of his throws for 466 yards, three scores and two touchdowns in four preseason appearances. He appeared in one regular season game last year for the Broncos, taking a knee for a one-yard loss. The Broncos released Kelly after he was arrested for trespassing in October.
