When the Washington Redskins claimed controversial linebacker Reuben Foster off waivers from the San Francisco 49ers Tuesday, senior vice president of player personnel Doug Williams cited conversations with a few former Alabama teammates currently on the roster. On Wednesday, the Washington Post reported safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and defensive lineman Jonathan Allen said they never discussed Foster with any member of Washington's front office. Packers trade safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to Redskins

The Green Bay Packers made their second trade of the day, sending safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to the Washington Redskins in exchange for a 2019 fourth-round draft pick, the Redskins announced Tuesday. Earlier, the Packers traded running back Ty Montgomery to the Baltimore Ravens for a 2020 seventh-round draft pick. Clinton-Dix is in the final year of his five-year rookie contract and will be a free agent after this season.
