May 8 (UPI) -- Insitu Inc. has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Navy for sustainment parts for the RQ-21A Blackjack unmanned aircraft system.The deal, announced Monday by the Department of Defense, is valued at more than $ 11 million under the terms of a firm-fixed-price delivery order, which is a modification to a previous Pentagon basic order agreement.The contract from Naval Air Systems Command enables Insitu Inc. to provide "sustainment parts to maintain the RQ-21A Blackjack unmanned aircraft system in support of the Marine Corps," according to a Defense Department contract announcement.The RQ-21 Blackjack is a small tactical unmanned intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platform used by both the Navy and U.S. Marine Corps.The RQ-21A is used to supplement another unmanned...

April 3 (UPI) -- More than $ 1.5 billion in contracts for drilling services were awarded to companies for work in Norwegian waters, energy major Statoil said.The company said Tuesday it awarded contracts to energy services companies for work ranging from maintenance to drilling on 18 of Statoil's fixed platforms on the Norwegian continental shelf.Drilling services company Archer Ltd. received the bulk of the four-year contracts for work offshore Norway. Combined, Archer took in about half of the total contract value.Services companies were among those hardest hit by a market downturn that saw the price of crude oil drop below $ 30 per barrel in early 2016. June 21 (UPI) -- Bell Helicopter Textron has received a $ 27 million contract for the manufacturing and delivery of four Bell 412EP helicopter to the U.S. Army, the Department of Defense announced Tuesday.The contract was solicited on the Internet with one bid accepted. Work will be conducted in Ft. Worth, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Nov. 30 2017.
