NEW DELHI: Banks are adopting different procedures while releasing pension or seeking certificates from pensioners at different periodicity, the Personnel Ministry has said. The ministry has issued consolidated guidelines to chairman and managing directors (CMDs) of pension disbursing banks to create awareness among Central Pension Processing Centre (CPPC)/ bank branches on updated rules and instructions in this regard. The move comes after an analysis of the grievances received by the Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare under the Personnel Ministry. The unique version of the annual selection process starts at 8 p.m. and will air on ESPN, NFL Network and ABC. Viewers also can stream online or through apps. Feb. 21 (UPI) -- The ability to recognize objects across different senses is an important part of the human brain's ability to produce mental images of the world and sustain conscious awareness. It turns out, insects and their tiny brains have the same ability. According to a new study, published Friday in the journal Science, bumblebees can learn about an object using one sense and recognize it later using another. In the lab, scientists trained the bumblebees to distinguish between cubes and spheres without being able to touch the objects. Scientists used sugar water as a reward for the correct selection, while those that chose the wrong shape got a bitter quinine solution. IT systems in the NHS are so outdated that staff have to log in to up to 15 different systems to do their jobs.Doctors can find themselves using different logins for everything from ordering x-rays and getting lab results to accessing A&E records and rotas.The government in England said it was looking to streamline the systems as part of an IT upgrade.Around £40 million is being set aside to help hospitals and clinics introduce single-system logins in the next year.Alder Hey in Liverpool is one of a number of hospitals which have already done this, and found it reduced time spent logging in from one minute 45 seconds to just 10 seconds.With almost 5,000 logins per day, it saved over 130 hours of staff time a day, to focus on patient care.'Time to get
