Dr. Stephen Hahn told Senate lawmakers that a recent wave of underage vaping is an “urgent, important crisis” and demands “aggressive action.” But he said he is not privy to the administration’s plans for vaping flavors, which are pending. The UK has dodged a recession despite seeing the biggest year-on-year slowdown in nearly a decade.The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said the 0.3% growth for the latest quarter signalled the economy "slowing" as UK GDP had grown at 1% for the same period in 2018. It said this represented the weakest annual rate since 2010.However, the expansion meant the UK avoided plunging into a recession, defined by two successive quarters of economic decline.It shrank by 0.2% in the three months to June 2019. Jan. 13 (UPI) -- The Winnipeg Jets overcame an early two-goal deficit and rallied for a 4-3 overtime victory against the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday night at Bell MTS Place. Winnipeg (29-14-2) faced a 2-0 hole in the first period but picked up its fourth win in the last five games to reclaim the top position in the Central Division. The Ducks (19-18-9) lost their 11th consecutive game after Sunday's overtime loss, dropping to 0-7-4 since a 3-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Dec. 17. Anaheim used goals from Brian Gibbons and Rickard Rakell to grab a 2-0 advantage 16:14 into the first period. NHL: Anaheim Ducks sign Dennis Rasmussen to one-year deal

The Anaheim Ducks signed forward Dennis Rasmussen to a one-year contract through the 2017-18 season on Friday. The 27-year-old center had eight goals, nine assists, a plus-5 rating and 16 penalty minutes in 112 career NHL games with the Chicago Blackhawks. He played the entire 2016-17 season with the Blackhawks, scoring four goals while adding four assists in 68 games. The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder won bronze for Team Sweden at both the 2014 World Championship in Russia and 2010 World Junior Championship in Saskatchewan.
