Feb. 12 (UPI) -- An international social media watchdog said Friday Facebook acted too hastily and should reinstate a post criticizing French President Emmanuel Macron and urging Muslims to possibly turn to violence. The 40-member Oversight Board, made up of human rights and legal experts around the world, said the post did not represent an imminent threat and deleting it was a disproportionate restriction. May 1 (UPI) -- Cleveland Indians right-hander Emmanuel Clase was suspended 80 games after testing positive for a banned performance-enhancing drug, MLB announced Friday. Clase tested positive for Boldenone, an anabolic steroid, according to a statement from the league. His suspension won't begin until the start of the 2020 regular season, which has been delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic. Dec. 2 (UPI) -- French President Emmanuel Macron planned to hold an emergency security meeting Sunday one day after the third weekend of at-times violent protests in Paris. Saturday's anti-government clashes between demonstrators and police led to some 183 arrests and left at least 100 people injured, including law enforcement officers. A car crash caused by a traffic jam associated with the demonstrations left one person dead -- the third person to die in protest-related traffic since protests began Nov. 17.
