Tesla has received nearly 150,000 orders for its new electric pickup truck - despite its botched launch earlier this week.The firm's CEO Elon Musk said 17% of the orders are for the single-motor model, 42% are for the dual-motor version and 41% are for the tri-motor model. A consumer group has told British Airways to "sort out this mess" after mix-ups with flight cancellations ahead of next month's pilots' strike.The call comes after the airline apologised for an "email error" which meant some passengers were wrongly told their flights had been cancelled due to a pilots' strike. Adam French, consumer rights expert at Which?, said the issue had caused "a lot of confusion and anxiety".He added: "It is vital that the airline ensures that any customer who was initially informed that their flight was cancelled and has booked an alternative flight is not left out of pocket."British Airways must now put all resources necessary into sorting out this mess as soon as possible." The civil service made an eye-popping error after accidentally publishing a satirical poster encouraging parents to shoot their children if they suspect they have contracted rabies. The current issue of Civil Service Quarterly features the poster - produced by the fictional council of Scarfolk - on page 20.The fictional town of Scarfolk was created by writer and designer Richard Littler as "a dystopian satire of the 1970s that somehow leaks into and reflects on current affairs". Wow. This has made my week. This is from the government's *own* publication about the history of government communications.
