Bond girl Olga Kurylenko has tested positive for coronavirus.The Ukrainian-born French actress posted a message on Instagram urging fans to take the illness seriously. Along with a picture looking out of a window on to a rain-splashed courtyard, she wrote: "Locked up at home after having tested positive for coronavirus."I've actually been ill for almost a week now. Jan. 8 (UPI) -- A girl hit by a foul ball at a Houston Astros game in May has permanent brain damage, her attorney said. The 2-year-old girl was hit in the head by the ball off the bat of Chicago Cubs outfielder Albert Almora Jr. on May 29 at Minute Maid Park in Houston. She suffered a seizure and sustained a fractured skull as a result of the incident. She also had subdural bleeding, brain contusions, brain edema and brain activity issues, her attorney said. "She has an injury to a part of the brain, and it is permanent," attorney Richard Mithoff told the Houston Chronicle. "She remains subject to seizures and is on medication and will be, perhaps, for the rest of her life." The girl remains in treatment for the brain injuries. Doctors have not determined if she has cognitive deficits....

A message by foreign prisoners in China pleading for help has been found in a Tesco charity card by a six-year-old girl.The company has stopped working with a factory in China after Florence Widdicombe, from Tooting in London, opened a card featuring a kitten wearing a Santa hat to find the message. Tesco donates £300,000 a year to the British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK and Diabetes UK from the sales of the cards. Hundreds of men have been asked to give their DNA to help solve the murder of a little girl in Germany 23 years ago.Claudia Ruf was 11 when she was abducted while walking a neighbour's dog in the German town of Grevenbroich, about 13 miles from Dusseldorf, in May 1996.Her family became worried when the dog returned home but she did not.Claudia's body was found two days later, more than 40 miles away.
