
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris named Time magazine’s Person of the Year
President-elect Joe Biden and vice president-elect Kamala Harris have been named Time magazine's Person of the Year. The incoming US leaders won the honour for "changing the American story, for showing that the forces of empathy are greater than the furies of division, and for sharing a vision of healing in a grieving world", Time's editor-in-chief Edward Felsenthal said. It is not unusual for presidents to be elected Person of the Year - in fact, every elected president since Franklin D Roosevelt has been chosen for the honour at some point during their term.
