Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Oshkosh Defense was awarded a $ 407.3 million contract modification to procure joint light tactical vehicles for the U.S. Army, the Pentagon announced Friday. The JLTV was developed by the U.S. Marines and the Army as a replacement for Humvee. They vehicles, the first of which were made ready for use in August, offer different variants with multiple mission package configurations, including packages for personnel, heavy guns and close combat weapons. The contract is funded by fiscal 2018 and 2020 Army and Marine Corps procurement funds as well as foreign military sales funds, which were obligated at the time of the award. Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Oshkosh Defense was awarded an $ 801 million deal to provide joint light tactical vehicles to Montenegro through the Department of Defense's foreign military sales program, the DoD announced Tuesday. Under the contract Oshkosh will deliver 2,721 JLTVs and 16,714 associated kits to the Balkan nation. The JLTV was developed by the U.S. Marines and the Army as a replacement for Humvee, with the Marines announcing in August that the first JLTVs were ready for use. During a visit to the country in October Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the US had offered an agreement to Montenegro to deliver $ 36 million worth of light tactical vehicles to Montenegro. May 30 (UPI) -- Oshkosh Defense said Thursday that the U.S. Army has awarded it and a partner a $ 13.3 million contract to produce a semitrailer for heavy equipment transporter. The $ 13.3 million contract award will fill an operational need for U.S. Army Europe for a semitrailer capable of carrying a larger payload while abiding by European road rules. The deal calls for 170 semitrailers to be delivered in the next couple fiscal years and has a maximum value of $ 109.8 million. Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Oshkosh Defense LLC announced on Wednesday that the U.S. Army placed $ 75 million in orders for trucks and trailers. U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command Life Cycle Management Command ordered 354 Family of Tactical Vehicles A1P2 trucks and trailers, Oshkosh said in a press release. "Together with the U.S. Army. we have established a robust FMTV program," said Pat Williams, vice president and general manager of U.S. Army and Marine Corps programs for Oshkosh. "We look forward to successfully completing the remaining FMTV A1P2 deliveries and seamlessly transitioning to FMTV A2 production without interruption." Dec. 26 (UPI) --Oshkosh Defense on Tuesday announced it has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Army for procurement of Family of Heavy Tactical Vehicles or FHTV.The $ 40 million delivery order comes from the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command.
