Watch: Two arrested after police chase on Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade route

Feb. 5 (UPI) -- Two suspects were taken into custody after a car chase along the parade route for the Super Bowl LIV champion Kansas City Chiefs, police said. According to a release issued Wednesday by Kansas City police, the incident began at 8:12 a.m. CST when the vehicle broke through a parade barrier. Police deployed stop sticks, which the car struck, but the vehicle kept going down the parade route lined with fans. Videos from the parade showed police making contact with the car before executing a PIT maneuver, a tactic that forces a fleeing vehicle to turn sideways and lose control. Once the car was stopped, police officers immediately surrounded the vehicle. Police said the driver was being investigated for impairment and a search of the car found no weapons. 24 dead as gunmen open fire on Iran military parade

At least 24 have died and 53 more people are injured after gunmen opened fire on a military parade in Iran, according to state media. A child and a woman are among the injured following the attack in Ahvaz, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported.The agency claims "four or five terrorists were gunned down by the police".Fars, another state news agency, says there were four gunmen and that the attack began half an hour after the parade began at 8.30am local time (6am in the UK).
