Rangers manager Steven Gerrard was left "angry and upset" after midfielder Glen Kamara told him he was racially abused during his side's Europa League defeat by Slavia Prague at Ibrox on Thursday.Slavia's Ondrej Kudela said something to Kamara while covering his mouth amid a melee in the final stages."My player tells me he was racially abused," Gerrard said.In a statement, Slavia said Kudela admitted swearing at Kamara but denied the "disgusting accusation" of racism.Rangers players confronted Kudela and Gerrard got involved with his opposite number."The disappointing thing is that their people are trying to defend their player and calling us liars," said Gerrard in the immediate aftermath of the game, which Rangers lost 2-0 to exit 3-1 on aggregate."I feel angry. Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Former WNBA star Renee Montgomery made history Friday as the first former player to become an owner and executive of a WNBA team when the league approved the sale of the Atlanta Dream to a group led by investor Larry Gottesdiener. Suzanne Abair, the president of Gottesdiener's Northland Investment Corp., a real estate firm, also is part of the three-member investor group that purchased the team from former Sen. MIAMI, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Tom Brady was the most-mentioned NFL player this year on Twitter, while the late Kobe Bryant was the athlete mentioned most with the term "GOAT," or greatest of all time, the social network company said. Twitter also released new emojis ahead of Super Bowl LV on Sunday. Fans can trigger photos of miniature goats to show up in their tweets when they use the hashtags #TomBrady, #Brady, #PatrickMahomes or #Mahomes.
