Police investigating rape allegations against Brazilian football player Neymar say they have closed the case. The São Paulo attorney general's office said the case was suspended due to a lack of evidence, but will be sent to prosecutors for a final decision.The investigation was opened after Brazilian model Najila Trindade alleged the footballer attacked her in a hotel in Paris, France, in May.Neymar has denied the accusations, saying he is being extorted. June 11 (UPI) -- A California jury found former NFL player Kellen Winslow II guilty of rape, indecent exposure and misdemeanor lewd conduct charges while still deadlocked over eight other counts of sexual assault. The San Diego Superior Court jury also acquitted the 35-year-old on Monday of a second lewd conduct charge, KUSI reported. He was found guilty of raping a 58-year-old homeless woman last May, exposing himself to another woman that same month and fondling himself in front of a 77-year-old woman last March. He still faces charges in connection to the rape and kidnapping of a 54-year-old hiker last March and of raping an unconscious 17-year-old girl in 2003 when he was 19. By Rebecca Taylor, news reporter An investigation into a rape allegation against Julian Assange is to be reopened as prosecutors say there is "probable cause" of an offence.Swedish prosecutors will begin looking again at the case against Assange, who is currently in Belmarsh Prison serving a 50-week sentence for jumping bail, and will seek his extradition from the UK. Assange was accused of rape and sexual assault against two women in 2010.However, the statute of limitations expired on one of those allegations in 2015, while he was living in the Ecuadorean embassy in London, and the Swedish prosecutor dropped the rape investigation in 2017.
