Spain, which has been one of the countries worst hit in the coronavirus pandemic, has reported its lowest daily death toll in more than a month. Its health ministry said earlier that 288 more people had died of the virus, the lowest number since 20 March.The figure is a steep drop from the 378 deaths recorded on Saturday.On Sunday, children under the age of 14 were allowed to leave their homes for the first time in six weeks. They are now allowed outside for one hour a day.The health ministry said the total number of fatalities now stood at 23,190. Mumbai: Private lender IndusInd Bank on Tuesday said it’s advances grew 13 per cent at the end of March 2020 much slower than the 20 per cent growth it had recorded in credit growth at the end of the December quarter. In value terms it’s advances stood at Rs 2.09 lakh crore versus Rs 1.86 lakh crore during the corresponding period last year. It’s deposits grew a paltry 4 per cent at the end of March to Rs 2.02 lakh crore versus Rs 1.94 lakh crore at the end of March 2019. It’s deposits had grown 23 per cent at the end of December. Out of the total deposits 34 per cent was contributed by retail and small business customers. It’s CASA ratio stood at 40.5 per cent at the end of March 2020, which was at 43.1 per cent in March 2019 and 42.4 per cent at the end of December. The bank had recently

NEW DELHI: India Post has recorded transactions worth Rs 2,680 crore between Thursday and Saturday with post office saving bank accounts leading the business, according to an official statement issued on Tuesday. The government has kept open services of post offices as part of essential items during the 21-day lockdown period. According to data shared in the statement, people deposited a total amount of over Rs 1,615 crore and withdrew over Rs 896 crore during the three-day period. During the three days, India Post Network claimed to have delivered 1,50,779 speed post, registered letters, parcels delivered and money orders in total, according to the official data.
