April 14 (UPI) -- The Seattle Seahawks reached an agreement on a short-term contract with Pro Bowl guard Mike Iupati on Tuesday. League sources told ESPN and NFL Media that Iupati agreed to a one-year deal with the Seahawks. Financial details of the pact weren't disclosed. Iupati signed a one-year, $ 2.75 million contract with the Seahawks last off-season. He made 15 starts in the 2019 regular season, but he missed both of Seattle's playoff games because of a neck injury. The San Francisco 49ers selected Iupati in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Idaho. He played his first five seasons in San Francisco before joining the Arizona Cardinals in March 2015. Philadelphia Eagles OT Lane Johnson ruled out vs. Seattle Seahawks

Nov. 22 (UPI) -- The Philadelphia Eagles will play the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday without Pro Bowl offensive tackle Lane Johnson. Johnson, who remains in the NFL's concussion protocol, was ruled out for the pivotal NFC showdown, according to the Eagles' official injury report. He exited last week's 17-10 loss to the New England Patriots with the head injury. The Eagles replaced Johnson with veteran swing tackle Halapoulivaati Vaitai against the Patriots, but could take a different approach in their next matchup. Rookie tackle Andre Dillard has been practicing on the right side of the offensive line in each practice this week to prepare for the Seahawks' defense. Philadelphia selected Dillard in the first round (No. 22 overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Washington State. He replaced Al...

The Seahawks announced Wednesday that the team agreed to terms with Willson. Seattle agreed to trade Vannett to the Steelers on Tuesday for a fifth-round draft pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Seattle selected Willson in the fifth round of the 2013 NFL Draft out of Rice. He spent the first five seasons of his career with the Seahawks, catching 89 passes for 1,129 yards and 11 touchdowns. Willson signed with the Detroit Lions last season and had a lackluster campaign, recording 13 receptions for only 87 yards and no scores in 14 regular-season games. After leaving the Lions, Willson spent the off-season with the Oakland Raiders. He failed to make the team'...

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll told reporters Friday the Pro Bowl pass-rusher will play extensively against the Saints. "Ziggy's ready to play, ready to play football," Carroll said. "So we're excited to see that. It's been a really good process to get him to this, where he's in good shape, too. He's worked hard and long, so he's in better shape than sometimes when a guy is just coming back. So we'll be able to get him a bunch of plays here in this game and look forward to his participation with us." Ansah signed with the Seahawks in May after he underwent shoulder surgery that cut short his final season with the Detroit Lions. ...
