Watch: 'Castlevania' invades 'Super Smash Bros. Ultimate' with new fighters

Aug. 8 (UPI) -- Nintendo announced during a new Direct presentation on Wednesday that characters from classic gaming franchise Castlevania will be appearing in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Castlevania characters Simon and Richter Belmont will join the crossover fighting game. During the presentation, a cinematic cutscene showed Simon meeting up with Luigi from the Super Mario franchise of video games. Simon will be able to use a collection of signature moves and weapons including his whip, throwing axes, crosses and holy water. Richter, meanwhile, is an Echo Fighter based on Simon, meaning that he will have a similar move set. Nintendo has announced that Fortnite is being released for its Switch console to coincide with the opening of the E3 video games show in Los Angeles.However, the release is limited to the title's last-gamer-standing Battle Royale mode and will not include the original Save The World co-op content.Nintendo also revealed Super Smash Bros Ultimate will include every character to have appeared in prior versions.It described it as the "biggest crossover in gaming history". Police are investigating a car crash involving a self-driving vehicle owned by Google's Waymo.The Waymo vehicle was hit when a Honda sedan swerved to avoid another car and drove into the opposing traffic lane.Police in Chandler, Arizona, said the Waymo car was in autonomous mode, although there was an occupant in the driver's seat.A video released by Waymo shows how the oncoming sedan swerves across multiple lanes before the crash.[embedded content]Questions will be raised regarding whether a human driver would have been able to move out of the Honda's way.Waymo said: "Our team's mission is to make our roads safer - it is at the core of everything we do and motivates every member of our team."We are concerned about the well-being and safety of our test driver and wish her a full recovery."...
