Ashanti to star in ‘Christmas Winter Song’ for Lifetime

Oct. 19 (UPI) -- Singer-songwriter Ashanti is set to star in and executive produce the Lifetime holiday movie, A Christmas Winter Song. Also featuring Stan Shaw and Sashani Nichole, the film will debut Dec. 14. "Clio, a Christmas shop owner, forms a special musical bond with Fred, a former jazz singer down on his luck," a synopsis said. "Having just lost her own father, Clio helps Fred reconnect with his own daughter and grandchildren, just in time for the town's annual Christmas concert." A Christmas Winter Song will be part of the cable network's It's a Wonderful Lifetime slate of holiday programming, which is to begin Oct. 25. Oct. 8 (UPI) -- Mamamoo member Hwasa and music producer Woogie are giving fans a preview of their new song. The 24-year-old South Korean singer and Woogie, born Park Je-wook, shared a clip of their upcoming collaboration, "In Autumn," on Tuesday. "In Autumn" is a moody ballad featuring Hwasa's vocals. The full track will debut Friday. "Hwasa X WOOGIE #InAutumn Sound Teaser #1," Mamamoo tweeted Tuesday. Mamamoo shared a teaser photo Monday showing Hwasa and Woogie in sweaters. Hwasa and Woogie previously collaborated on the song "Don't Give," which Hwasa released with rapper Loco in 2018. Hwasa came to fame with the girl group Mamamoo, which also consists of Solar, Moonbyul and Wheein.
