Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Pittsburgh Pirates utility player Pablo Reyes was suspended 80 games for a violation of the Major League Baseball drug program, the league announced Wednesday. Reyes tested positive for the performance-enhancing drug Boldenone, according to the league. He became the second MLB player in three days to be suspended for the use of Boldenone, which is sold under the brand name Equipose and commonly used on horses. Houston Astros pitcher Francis Martes was suspended for the entire 2020 season Monday after testing positive for Boldenone. It marked his second violation of the MLB drug program. Jee Man-won, who has alleged participants in the South's May 18, 1980 Gwangju Uprising were members of the North Korean military's special forces, was also fined about $ 1,000 at a Seoul central district court, Yonhap reported Thursday. March 1 (UPI) -- Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman David Irving was suspended indefinitely after violating the league's substance abuse policy, the NFL announced Friday. Sources told ESPN that the NFL was evaluating Irving for a potential suspension Tuesday. Irving's ban comes two days after the league suspended teammate Randy Gregory for also violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. Irving was an impending free agent.
