Nov. 6 (UPI) -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be without Pro Bowl wide receiver Mike Evans in Week 10 due to a one-game suspension.NFL vice president of football operations Jon Runyan issued the suspension on Monday. The suspension is without pay for violations of unsportsmanlike conduct and unnecessary roughness rules in Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints.Evans was involved in a scuffle in the third quarter of the 30-10 loss at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston poked Saints defender Marshon Lattimore in the back of the head during the sequence. Lattimore then shoved Winston. Miami Hurricanes tight end Michael Irvin Jr. has been suspended indefinitely, coach Mark Richt said on a media teleconference Sunday night. Irvin, the son of former Hurricanes star receiver and Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Irvin, "just hasn't done what's he's supposed to do off the field and until he does, we won't let him play," Richt said. Irvin Jr. wasn't on the sideline for Miami's home win against Syracuse on Saturday. Previously, he had been suspended for the Russell Athletic Bowl at the end of last season because of an unspecified violation of team rules. Aug. 22 (UPI) -- The NFL has suspended Los Angeles Chargers center Max Tuerk for violating its policy on performance enhancing substances.Tuerk will sit out the team's first four games of the 2017 season as a result of the ban, according to the Chargers. He will not be paid during the suspension. Tuerk can return to the Chargers' active roster on Monday, Oct. 2, a day after the Chargers battle the Philadelphia Eagles.
