James Argent has been open about his battle with yo-yo dieting in the past, but his recent weight gain has left him with some terrifying health concerns.
The 31-year-old has revealed he has been warned that his life is at risk.
Sharing the shocking news with his 767,000 Instagram followers, the former Jump contestant wrote: “I’ve been warned I’m on ‘Death Row’ because of my weight gain.”
Showing his devotees that he was already making a different, Arg posted the comment alongside a picture of him posing up a storm in a boxing ring.
Looking ready for action, the London-born lad was dressed in a baggy white T-shirt and black jogging bottoms with his hands wrapped in a red gauze.
Smiling at the camera, the reality star explained how he was planning to turn things around.
Adding to the caption, James shared: “Thanks to my old friends Anthony Yarde and Tunde Ajayi, today my life changes and I am back in the boxing gym.
“Peacock Boxing club is my new home.”
Offering their undivided support, fans flocked to his comments section to wish him well.
One wrote: “Don’t give up fella.”
Another shared: “Good luck on your journey.”
A third commented: “Good luck you are doing the right thing.”
While a fourth offered plenty of encouragement saying: “Slow and steady.”
In February Arg revealed that he planned to lose seven stone.
Opening up to The Sun, he declared: “If I was to do Dancing On Ice next year I’d want to lose seven stone.
“By this time next year I’d be a year and a half sober so I’d be in a pretty good position to do it.”
After seeing his girlfriend Gemma Collins’ dramatic weight-loss after the show from the intense training to perform on the ice, Arg was keen to do the same.
