The all-British grudge match will take place in London and we’ll be bringing you exclusive coverage of the night’s action
James DeGale and Chris Eubank Jr will contest their eagerly awaited grudge match tonight as the British rivals face off in London for the vacant IBO super-middleweight title.
There has been plenty of bad blood between the pair over recent years and the fight – which will be live on talkSPORT – will take place against a backdrop of hostility amid their mutual dislike for one another.
DeGale said of his opponent recently: “I believe he doesn’t have the pedigree, the size and skill to beat me. Every time he has stepped up he has been found out.”
And Eubank Jr responded in kind, saying: “DeGale is going to get the schooling of his career, a good old-fashioned hiding.”
They are now ready to settle their feud inside the ring in what will be one of 2019’s biggest bouts.

James DeGale vs Chris Eubank Jr: What the fighters have said
DeGale said: “By knockout or points, either way I’m leaving the ring the winner.
“Having the London skyline as the backdrop is entirely appropriate – I’m aiming for the stars, but first I aim to conquer Chris Eubank Jr at The O2.”
And Eubank Jr replied: “I’m right at the top of my game – and I want the city to shake with the impact of my punches.
“The only view that’s going to stick in his mind is looking up at me from the canvas after I lay him out.”
DeGale has also revealed he will consider retirement after next week’s grudge match with Eubank Jr.
“I’m going to get this good win,” the Olympic gold medallist said. “After this good win I’ll maybe knock it on the head. I don’t know.
“I could go on to have another three or four fights; I’m not too sure. I’m in a good position where I’m happy and content in what I’ve done with my career. I’ve left my mark. I’m sitting nice. I’ve always said I’m taking every fight as it comes.
“The hunger and desire hasn’t been stronger. I’ve been training for this fight for a long, long time. Mentally I’m ready; physically I’m ready, I’m healthy. There’s a lot of questions hanging over this fight as well, but the main one is how much have I got left? Am I declining, am I shot? We’ll see.”
