A short-lived health kick, drastic haircut – or even a bold tattoo.
Zayn Malik, 25, is no different, and opted for the latter, following his break up from supermodel Gigi Hadid.
Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid, 22 – born Jelena Noura Hadid – announced they’d split after two years together earlier this week.
The former couple revealed the devastating news to their Twitter followers and gushed about the immense “love” they still possessed for each other.
The One Direction singer has hardly been moping around though, he’s gone straight to his tattooist for some new ink.
Zayn – who already has over 50 inkings – opted for a huge black rose above the nape of his neck.
The rose featured a curved stem, which snaked down Zayn’s neck.
The Bradford-born X Factor hunk showed off his new addition to his 27.4 million Instagram followers, and suffice to say, they weren’t feeling it.
“For real thought that was a rat tail,”
“For real thought that was a rat tail,” one user commented.
“Ew it looks like a bad mullet,” another suggested.
A third asked: “Did you really tattoo on a rat tail?”
And a fourth fan chimed in: “In my opinion I don’t like it, but if you like it I can’t judge.”
Zayn followed up the controversial pic with a shirtless photo, which saw him sprawled out on the tattoo bench, while a tattooist got to work.
The Pillow Talk crooner has a vast collection of tattoos now, including his grandfather’s name, a lightsaber and a pair of eyes that look suspiciously like his ex-girlfriend Gigi’s peepers.
Not ideal for his next potential conquest.
Rumours began to swirl that Zayn and Gigi has parted ways when fans noticed that Zayn unfollowed the statuesque blonde on Instagram – the ultimate diss.
He confirmed their split on Twitter, in a post that read: “Gigi and I had an incredibly meaningful, loving and fun relationship and I have a huge amount of respect and adoration for Gigi as a woman and a friend.
“She has such an incredible soul. I’m grateful to all of our fans for respecting this difficult decision and our privacy at this time, we wish this news could have come from us first. We love you all.”
