Monaco to offer striker massive pay increase to keep him away from Europe’s big clubs

Sunday, June 25, 2017

Monaco are desperate to keep 18-year-old Kylian Mbappe at the club and will offer the striker a massive pay increase to persuade him to stay.

Mbappe was vital to the club’s Ligue 1 title victory last season and his 26 goals in all competitions saw him collect the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year award.

Real Madrid are believed to be at the front of the queue to sign him, but Arsenal and Liverpool are also keen. According to Journal du Dimanche (JDD), a French weekly publication, Monaco will bump his pay packet to €162,000-a-week from €18,000.
