
Edinburgh Festival Fringe cashing in on 90s nostalgia
By Katie Spencer, news correspondent From a Spice Girls tribute act through to musical versions of Friends and cult film favourite Cruel Intentions, 90s nostalgia features heavily at this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe.Given how much our lives have changed in the last three decades, it is strange that so many of us are getting misty-eyed thinking about things such as dial-up internet. Matt Brinkler, producer of Wannabe: The Spice Girls Show, said our penchant for throwback Thursdays and flashback Fridays means that 90s nostalgia sells.He said: "Everyone who grew up with 90s music has now reached that age and are keen to relive the nostalgia of their youth, basically."
