Dec. 2 (UPI) -- This time, Jalen Hurts was the quarterback who came off the bench to rescue Alabama. Hurts passed for a touchdown and ran for another to rally the top-ranked Crimson Tide to a 35-28 win over No. 4 Georgia for the Southeastern Conference championship Saturday in Atlanta. Hurts filled in for starter Tua Tagovailoa, who had to helped off the field with a right ankle injury. The injury occurred when an Alabama lineman accidentally stepped on Tagovailia's foot with just more than 11 minutes left in the game. Enter Hurts, who led Alabama to the national title game as a freshman but lost the starting job to Tagovailoa.
