Fred Armisen, John C. Reilly to star in ‘Moonbase’ comedy

Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Fred Armisen, Tim Heidecker and John C. Reilly have signed on to star in the Showtime workplace comedy, Moonbase. A news release from the cable network said the show will follow "three subpar astronauts living at NASA's Moon Base Simulator with high hopes of being chosen to travel to the moon." Advertisement Armisen, Heidecker and Reilly created, wrote and produced the show along with Jonathan Krisel. Season 1 will include six, 30-minute episodes. It is slated to debut this fall. Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Courteney Cox will star in the horror comedy pilot "Shining Vale" on Starz, the cable network announced Friday. Should Shining Vale go to series, it will be Cox's first TV series since Cougar Town. She guest starred on an episode of Modern Family, Shameless and Drunk History. Catastrophe and Divorce creator Sharon Horgan and Trial & Error creator Jeff Astrof created the half-hour comedy. Starz described Shining Vale as a half-hour comedy in which a family moves from the city to a small town, not realizing their house was the site of "terrible atrocities."
