Mortgage lender HDFC Ltd on Saturday said the company's individual loan business continued to exhibit improvement in the January-March quarter 2021 and loans worth Rs 7,503 crore were assigned to its banking subsidiary. "The individual loan business continued to see strong improvements during the quarter ended Match 31, 2021. "During the quarter, pursuant to the buyback option embedded in the home loan arrangement between the Corporation and HDFC Bank, the Corporation assigned loans to the bank amounting to Rs 7,503 crore," HDFC said in a regulatory filing. In the year ago same quarter ended March 2020, such loan assigned to HDFC Bank stood at Rs 5,479 crore. Jan. 22 (UPI) -- The effects of the seasonal flu in the United States remain "lower than usual for this time of year," with just 0.1% of nose and throat samples tested nationally coming back positive for the virus, according to data released Friday by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Fewer than 2% of all healthcare visits across the country have been linked with flu-like symptoms or illness since the 2020-21 influenza season began two months ago, the agency said. The UK economy grew by 6.6% in July, according to official figures, but output remains far below pre-pandemic levels.It is the third month in a row that the economy has expanded.
