Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Prosecutors in Brazil have filed charges against American journalist Glenn Greenwald, founder of The Intercept, accusing him of cybercrimes, court documents made public Tuesday indicate. The government said Greenwald "helped, encouraged and oriented" members of a criminal organization that hacked the cellphones of multiple public officials last year, including prosecutors. The Intercept published articles based on the cellphone records he allegedly helped hackers obtain. The records included messages the website said provided "unprecedented insight into the operations of the anti-corruption task force that transformed Brazilian politics and gained worldwide attention." Musician Art Neville has died at the age of 81, his manager Kent Sorrell has confirmed.The funk legend died at home with his wife by his side.Art – who founded The Neville Brothers and The Meters – was from New Orleans, Louisiana.The cause of death was not immediately shared however Art had battled some health issues during his life. Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei has said the Chinese telecoms giant will slash production by $ 30bn (£23.9bn) over the next two years as a US-led backlash against the firm intensifies.Speaking at the firm's headquarters, Mr Ren said sales were expected to remain flat at $ 100bn in 2019 and 2020.
