Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Hurricane Maria began moving north away from the Caribbean on Friday after lashing many of the islands there over the past week, the National Hurricane Center said.A Category 3 storm, Maria was located 115 miles east-northeast of the Southeastern Bahamas and about 395 miles east-southeast of Nassau in the Bahamas.
