A New Mexico teenager faced drug and gun charges on Wednesday amid accusations that he had used a popular social media platform to peddle fentanyl, assault weapons and other firearms. Bernalillo County District Attorney Raul Torrez announced the 17-year-old's arrest at a news conference, where authorities played a loop of Snapchat videos and photos they said originated from the boy's phone. The images showed plastic bags filled with small blue pills, pistols and rifles propped across a person's lap. In one clip, someone shoots a firearm down on an empty dirt road at night. In another, there is text paired with a photo of a gun saying "650 today." By Sophie Penney, news reporter Snapchat users will now be able to share their stories directly to Tinder, the popular dating app.The multimedia messaging service's new feature is expected to be integrated later this year as part of the newly launched App Stories, announced on Thursday at its Partner Summit in Los Angeles. When users go to publish a photo or video taken on Snapchat, they can currently choose whether to share the "snap" as a story or send it to specific recipients.Under the new plans, a My Tinder Story option will appear - giving users the ability to upload their posts directly to Tinder.It is not clear how the stories will appear in Tinder as the project is still under development.
