Mumbai: Nine NBFCs, including Reliance Net and Nischaya Finvest Private Limited, have surrendered their certificate of registration, the Reserve Bank of India said on Tuesday. Penrose Mercantiles Ltd, Manohar Finance India Ltd, Chandelier Tracon Pvt Ltd, and Sanghi Hire Purchase Ltd are among the NBFCs which have surrendered their certificates. The certificate of registration is granted by the RBI. With surrendering the certificates, the companies cannot transact the business of a non-banking financial institution. New Delhi: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) recieved 5,661 requests for surrender or cancellation of flats alloted to the applicants in housing scheme for 2017, the Rajya Sabha was informed today. "Most of the applicants have not provided any specific reason for surrender but some of the applicants have stated that the built up area of the alloted flats were not up to their requirement," Minister of State (Indepenent Charge) for Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said in a written reply. The DDA had received over 46,000 applications under the 2017 housing scheme for over 12,000 flats. In a "desperate ploy," ISIS fighters in Mosul attempted to feign surrender to Iraqi Security Forces Monday in order to get close enough to conduct a mass suicide attack, the top U.S. commander in Iraq said today.
