Doctor Who fans, get to the Tardis - for transportation to an ambitious immersive theatre experience set to launch next year.Featuring Daleks, Cybermen and Time Lords, Doctor Who: Time Fracture goes back to 1940 during the Blitz, with a mysterious weapon destroying a small corner of London's Mayfair and opening a rift in space and time. A fund set up by two stars of Fleabag to support theatre workers affected by the coronavirus pandemic is to receive £500,000 from Amazon Prime Video.Olivia Colman and Phoebe Waller-Bridge said they were "blown away" by the "extraordinary" support.The streaming service is also donating £1m to a new grants scheme being set up by the Film and TV Charity.Amazon Prime has pledged $ 6m (£4.6m) in total to those involved in theatre, TV and film production across Europe."The creative community in Europe has been vital to our success in producing high-quality Amazon original TV series and movies," Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke said."It is essential for us to help that community through this pandemic." ...

Several people have been hurt after part of a ceiling collapsed at a theatre in London's West End.Emergency services were called just before 8pm following the incident during a performance of Death of a Salesman at the Piccadilly Theatre. A picture from the scene showed a large hole in the ceiling about three or four metres wide, with wires protruding in the middle of it.Witnesses reported there had been a "slight dripping sound" and "running water" followed by "lots of screams" from audience members as a section of the ceiling came crashing down.
